Exceptionally light, beautifully machined, and refreshingly simple, the Brookie gives you everything you want on a light trout rod—and absolutely nothing you don’t. Machined in the USA from durable 6061 aluminum, its radically ported frame keeps weight to a minimum while Galvan’s unique Click-Ball Tension System delivers smooth, adjustable resistance without the bulk or complexity of a traditional drag. Set the tension where you like it, palm the spool when a good fish decides to run, and enjoy that wonderfully direct connection between angler and trout that makes light-tackle fishing so much fun.

That simplicity is exactly why we fell in love with this reel for our Little River. Small-stream fishing isn’t about overpowering fish with heavy gear—it’s about delicate presentations, short casts, tight quarters, and making a six-inch brook trout feel like the best fish you’ve caught all week. The Brookie complements that experience perfectly. It balances beautifully on a lightweight rod, retrieves line incredibly smoothly, and has the kind of clean, understated machining that looks just as good as it fishes.

For the Little River package, you’ll get your choice of Green or Burnt Orange, giving you the chance to make the setup your own. Go traditional with green or give it a little more personality with orange. Either way, you’re pairing the perfect Brookie reel with a rod built specifically for chasing brook trout on the small water we love most.

Light.
