Join us for a hands-on Introductory Fly Casting Class, perfect for beginners looking to build a strong foundation in the art of fly fishing. In your private session—just one or two students at a time—you’ll get personalized instruction on the fundamentals of the forward cast, roll cast, and essential casting mechanics. Whether you’re brand new to fly fishing or looking to refine your technique, this class provides focused, one-on-one guidance to help you cast with confidence. No equipment? No problem! I’ll provide everything you need, though bringing your own rod is encouraged for a more tailored experience. Let’s get you casting smoothly and effectively!

Fly School Cancellation Policy
Our Fly School classes are intentionally small, and your registration reserves a seat that may otherwise have gone to another angler. Cancellations made at least 7 days before the class are eligible for a full refund or class credit. Registrations become non-refundable within 7 days of the class, but you are always welcome to transfer your seat to another person. If Maine Fly Company needs to cancel a class, you’ll receive a full refund.
